In the spirit of encouraging community action and spurring initiatives to address the critical issues of addiction and homelessness, our non-profit society recently hosted two impactful events on the Sunshine Coast. 1. Business Impact Session

At our first event, the Business Impact Session, over 60 participants, including business owners, public officials, and law enforcement officers, shared the challenges they face due to the impacts of homelessness and addiction. Privately sponsored by PIVOT Society in collaboration with the Sechelt Downtown Business Association, this event aimed to stimulate open dialogue, identify mid-term goals, and explore potential activities and strategies. The insights shared emphasize the urgent need for coordinated efforts to understand and address these challenges effectively.

Both events were well attended and resounding successes, not only in terms of engagement but also in their ability to inspire action. Both events made it clear, our community cares about its members and compassion at both events was high.
